Does it give you a sense of pride if you are friends with the boss? In a way, but totality, NO! Iam not the type of person who is in awe with positions. I dont make friends or talk with people higher than me from the flowchart just so i can say, "we are close". I think its lame and obnoxious. I respect what they have achieved and what they are, but its not a big deal for me, no one cares anyway. Like, everyone has their own charm, own talent and own wit.

Titles are not that big in my world. You can be the prince of monacco just behind my table at Pepper Lunch, and i will still be more interested with my steak. Holding a Birkin is a different thing though, ill definetely ignore the steak. ;p

Its not being disrespectful, i just see people with equality.


Boss

If you are the boss, do you feel a sense of pride? Definitely yes. Its good that a person can be whatever he wants himself to be, just dont get it to the skull. Its a product of ones hardwork anyway. My mom said once, that its better if people are ashamed of you, rather than be afraid of you. That is 101% true.

Is it degrading if you will hobnob with the people below you? I guess not. Life doesnt start and end in the workplace. One thing, you can act the part, do the part, but dont overreact the part.
